If you havent made your own personal "virtual" pages maybe you can start with these. I had no choice, I travel alot and No matter how much time I have I always forget something at home something I was planning on doing. Once you learn how to use SSI it can become a powerful webmaster tool. For those who know me, I am organized.
Before using SSI you must add the following 2 lines to your htaccess file. I added these 2 lines to my root htaccess file. If you dont know what htaccess is check out Billys .htaccess tutorial The two lines you need to add to your htaccess are:
The first thing you need to do is visit WideAreas TGP Resource and save all the info on the pages. Do a File | Save as it will save everything in folders and it makes it easy to harvest the tgp recips. Now that you have all the recip buttons and recip tables. Do the following:
make a directory on your server for the TGP recip buttons: your domain/recipsTake the recip "code" add it to a "BLANK" page. By "BLANK" I mean no other html tags but the following code below, a simple 1 x 3 table, Tables a problem for you check out DHD's - Basic HTML:
Save this Page as what ever you want. I do it like this TR1.shtml ,T is TGP,R is Recip, 1 is Table 1 simple but organized. You will need to do this for all your tgp recip tables. TR1 thru ?? So instead of Coding the above table or cutting and pasting every time you make TGP Mirror Pages all you simply have to do is add the following to your html page, make sure you use the proper include #. I save "snippets" of code as Tr1,Tr2,Tr3 :
What this token does is call the file tr1.html file when your page loads in a browser. Adding a recip table to your gallery page.
Did you ever run into a problem with a particular TGP? Now the cool part say for instance say the Shemp isnt listing you anymore for what ever reason. Your Problem is you have 25 or more galleries that have his recip. All you have to do is change your TR1.html file all 25 plus galleries will no longer carry his recip you change 1 file the TR1.html your "include file".
So now you have a basic way to use SSI for TGPing but now you have to submit them. Whos on Tr12, whos TR6. Its a good thing I am organaized. The way I do it is to create a table like the one below.
| TGP Recips "tr1 .shtml" | ||
|---|---|---|
| TGP | Submit Page | Submit |
| TGP 1 | Submit | 1 per day |
| TGP 2 | Submit | 1 per day |
| TGP 3 | Submit | 1 per day |
Each submit table pops a new window ( target="new" ). Submit your page, close the window submit to the next
tgp. I laid my pages out as follows:
alink="green" not submitted
vlink="red" submitted
When I tgp I use a numerical identifier for my pages for instance I have made 9 galleries. Galleries 1-9 are my clean galleries. Lets mirror the first gallery: 486 10 times ... the way it breaks down is as follows: I will be using my include file TR1.shtml - TR9.shtml
Gallery 486 is my clean gallery no recip. Since I will be submitting to TGP's that require a recip link when I "mirror" basically a copy of my "clean" gallery I will make my mirrors that correspond to my "include files"as follows:10486.html,20486.html,30486.html,40486.html, get it. If you do more than 9 , 100486.html, just add another digit to the gallery #
I do it this way for the "Smart Surfer". So the "smart" surfer sees 11486.html what are his chances of getting 11567.html or 11569.html. He thinks his chances of getting more pics is outstanding. YEAH...RIGHT! Plain and Simple.... has no chance hes getting ***Kicked*** in the balls with Pastas 404 page.
Thats it for Now..I hope you can utilize this. If you have any questions you can find me at VNWR
