Todays NPOW is a fun one.
It is also a very easy one that everyone can do.
You will be making your sites have a splash of class.
By using simple back bars on your sites pages,
By doing so you make the site look of a higher quality,
Which can get you higher rankings in the link lists.
And nope, they in them selves won't make you money,
but the higher rankings bring in more traffic
which could make you more money from your work.

A back bar is a small graphic that is the width of the page,
but is only a few pixels in height.
This makes it very light, usually 1k-2k in weight.
So you don't have to worry about it slowing down your site loading.

Use these in the sites you make this week and see the results for yourself.
But follow the simple below rules when making them.

Making a Back Bar
Using any graphic program, including paint which comes in many windows packages.
Create a blank graphic 800 wide by 20 pixels high.
Make the background either white or black.
The same as your normal site background color.
Then place a color spot almost the exact same color as
you background color on the bar it's self.
Don't use more than 2 almost matching colors,
or it becomes distracting to the surfer.
Don't use over bright colors or you won't be able to read the text.
This is why you match the color or hue of the color close to the background color.
So you match it close enough that you don't pull away from your sales text,
but you give it that touch of class.

Play with them and see what you can come up with.
But after that it will only take you about 2 seconds to make them for your future sites.
Which will help you be a step above the average sites out there.
And as mentioned before, classier looking sites get better listings.
