Alt. Traffic, a NPOW
A VNWR Newbie Project Of the Week

First, this is a two week long project.
This weeks project is a special one.
Timely with summer coming up and your need for alternative
sources of traffic being on the rise.
Note, brand new newbies may not be ready for this project.
If that is you, go build a single T of the triples project.

Pick one of these types of no content sites below to build:
  • Pick-up Lines
  • Excuses for being late
  • Excuses for taking a sick day
  • Reasons/excuses for dumping a girlfriend
  • Reasons/excuses for dumping a boyfriend
  • Listings of sexual names of sex organs
  • Alphabetical Pornstar list (Gals)
  • Alphabetical Pornstar list (Guys)
  • Flavors (example 101 ice cream flavors)

    The Sites
    Each site has no content on it.
    This doesn't have to be adult oriented.
    Each site should have at least 100 of
    the items you are building the site for.
    No blind links.
    Each page should tactfully use 2 to 4 sponsor links
    But no more than 2 banners per page.
    Each site can have as many pages as you need them to have.

    IF you can do a little scripting/ssi,
    Have a "of the Moment" extra big text right under your title.
    This would involve having a list of all the items in your site,
    and the scripting picking one for that spot when someone loads that page.
    It'll make your site look more professional and bookmarkable.

    After that, list all your items and work in your ads in a non blind manner.
    Just make sure it doesn't look like tabacco road when you are done with it.
    you will need it looking professional to work.
    If your vision of this site involves more than one page
    make sure to link back to the main page at the bottom of each page.

    Trafficing it
    Now the point of this project is to build and get alternate traffic.
    Step one: is going to take investagation on your part.
    Whatever the niche you choose to make the site for,
    you have to be able to investigate those types
    of sites that are in the same niche or catagory
    and offer up link trades with them and your site.
    But that is only step one in alternative traffic.

    Step two: is finding sites that could use the project you picked to make.
    and then offering to them the chance to link to you to make thier site better.

    Step three: is finding forums, news groups and the like on
    the niche you built for and finding out how to correctly drop your link
    while becoming part of their communities, and without spamming them with it.

    Step four: Search engines, submit to as many as you can.

    Step five: is to self traffic them yourselfs. Build sites galleries,
    and other normal traffic sources and interlink to them via bleeder and filter links.

    Step Six: is not to forget that this site is bookmarkable
    and you should tell the surfers to bookmark it and send it to their friends too.

    Now the hard part, you can NOT ask about any of the above six on the VNWR board.
    You should be of a level to find these sources
    with a little lokking and thinking to do this project.
    If you need to ask, then you are not ready for this project.
    Go back and do the single T of the triples project.

    Each person who does this project
    will find different sources of traffic called aternative traffic,
    that they should not share, will be unique to themselves and that site.
    This is your private alternative traffic sources for this summer and beyond.
    Those of you who do this project
    will most likely not see traffic and profit dips this coming summer.
    as you will have traffic sources that are not normally tapped
    and you will know how to get the extra traffic when you need it.

    This project also teaches you to seek out different sources of traffic.
    and balance your empires on something besides reused link list traffic.
    In the short run and in the long run both,
    you will find the knowledge you gain from this project to be very valuable.
