Aww, we just hook up some chains to the combine tires, send it down the street folloed by the snow plow. :D Seriously though, they have gotten to where they pre-treet the roads down here. 3 inches would have school closed for the day down here. lol... But in our defense, if it's cold enough for snow on the ground down here, 99.9% of the time, you can bet yer buttons there's a layer of ice that came before the snow and a crust of ice on top of the snow by morning. Not good for driving at all. Sure thing Voltar. It's hard to know for sure without seeing the cover to be sure it's the same comic. And the last one, I found the age of apocalypse, there was only one listed and it didn't appear to have a solid gold cover. This is just what the price guide has them listed as, there's a large variant in what that guide says and what you might find people bidding on it in a auction site. Yea, all the ones I have I got a hundred or so, are supposidly at least worth a dollar more than I paid for them. Going by the price guides I've found. But then like all collectables, they're subject to what someone is willing to pay for them. It's still worth the effort to put them in comic bags with backing boards and changing the bags and boards every three years or so, some sort of chemical reaction starts happening after awhile in the same bag and it affects the ink. I got a spidey vs wolverine from 1987, and another spidey with the death of ned leads (gobblin), a couple vampirellas from the early 80's, Batman 1 thru 4 in a series where they redid his story back in 86 and the superman of the same series. And a couple of odd ball comics like scary tales from the 70's. Nothing that's going to make me rich right now, but if get that spidey sealed there's no telling what will happen with it value wise in a few years. Man I pulled out some of my old comic books the other day, looking to see if any of them are worth anything. There's a couple I have I'm thinking about sending off to be graded and sealed. That's dern expensive btw! I was trying to judge the condition myself so I go to a couple of the comic forums and post a couple pics of comics in various conditions just to get an idea to gauge how accurate I was. Those guys are something else. I was looking through some of the posts and see a guy posted a pic of a comic that was all scratched and had some dings in the cover, said he was grading it a 9.4. He comes on there and tells me one that I had posted that had one or 3mm scratches on it would be a 6.0. Then pms me offering me 10 bucks for it. Now I'd just seen that same comic that was in about the same condition mine was go over $100 at a comics auction site. I can see that if I decide to sell any comics I'm gonna have to be on my toes and have a pretty good idea of what they are worth. Those guys are some crooks. Well, not all of them I'm sure, but just from what conversations I've had on the forums and some people that collect around my area, a person that didn't do their homework could get screwed real easy.
