afternoon everyone... wolfe...like Old Tom said, read the terms of the AVS and sponsors you use...ALWAYS do that.. it's also wise to make contact with people at those places, and ask them pointed direct questions as well..it's not unheard of to be able to get written permission(save it BTW) to do things that otherwise might not be allowed by them, such as the avs stuff we are discussing... after all they want to make sales too..and the more they have the more they have a chance of making those..it's not always vut and dry...but those contacts can become very valuable in transition times... Wolfe, to expand on what Voltar said... Check the AVS's terms of service. On a cyberage site, for example, you may not advertise ANYTHING associated with a competing AVS. Even if it's just a parent company selling something else. And, that makes sense to me. Other AVSs really don't care. SexKey, as of last time I spoke with them, didn't care - but they weren't offering premium sites either. So upselling to someone else's premium site was fine with them. The place where the AVSs get all bent out of shape, is with the premium sites. That's where the money is - or more correctly, that's where the money APPEARS to be. (Think about it. How did you GET the traffic to the premium site to make the sale? That traffic source is where the money REALLY is, regardless of the fact that it's the premium site which got the credit for the sale.) Here are the two biggies. Well, okay, three. 1. Duplicate site. If the AVS terms of service say it needs to be an exclusive site, play fair. You can't have two copies of the same site with two different AVSs. Other webmasters will notice, and turn you in, hoping you'll lose your webmaster account with BOTH avs's. 2. Anything that Larry Flynt isn't personally into. We've had sites approved, and then yanked when other webmasters raised a complaint. However, don't EVER make that kind of complaint against another webmaster's premium sites. If that webmaster turns out to be one of their top revenue producers, you're pretty much screwed for life with THAT avs. Instead, watch what they're doing, and figure out how you can learn from it. 3. Cross-selling (upselling) something related to a different AVS company. Hmmm... as I re-read Voltar's post 126849, I should clarify. We don't *ever* recommend violating any sponsor's or AVS's terms of service. Sometimes you want to promote your AVS premium site *as* an AVS site; sometimes you don't want to say what it is til you hit the join page. Jojasa and I have found it to be just like Voltar said... it's the unique nature of YOUR stuff that sells. The fact that your avs membership *also* gets you access to all those other sites might *close* the sale, but the fact that they really want to see the rest of *this* fantasy, set of pics, whatever, is what gets them to your AVS tour. But if one AVS doesn't want you selling somebody else's premium AVS, don't! If you're not making money at it, why bother; if you ARE making money at it, why jeopardize your account? Like Voltar said... don't try to sell it as an AVS membership. There's a huge AVS who just finished proving that selling generic AVS memberships just doesn't work. I will say I try to just omit the word young as the only proper way to word it would be along the lines of young women and joe surfer wanting your content probably wont be triggered much by the term women conjuring images of winston smoking pta moms in calf cut skirts and hose waiting outside sunday worship. Yep Sweetness...it does work! Large sets can work out well to be broken into smaller sets too Wolfe. Since you have a lot of facials content...perhaps the sets have enough primer pics to use for a blowjobs/oral site. Then you can always use the facials/cumshots pics later on another site...
