Confused, what i use is what i recommend :)
SuperJPG, we even have a tutorial on it, look in the newbie quick start guide, link is at the top of the board to the left :)
for superJPG go here:
http://www.midnightblue.com
there is even a 30 day free trial for it as well :)

Confused, try SuperJPG from Midnight Blue.

The pic upload process is part of the HTTP protocol. In effect, it's built into your browser.

Hello Voltar,
Thanks for the info.

Could you recommend a program that will make those 88x88 size thumbs?

afternoon everyone..

cool news there william :)

yep bailey its like family here and then some :)

confused...most places don't require that you upload the thumbnail, for thos that do i don't use them anymore..its asking a bit much for a single days listings..and the content isn't registered to the domain they are on and as such breaks licensing rules under which most the content is bought unless exact measures are followed..
and yes if you pick it via thier little upload thing then you did upload it when you hit the post button :)

Hello Everyone,

I noticed on some thumb stlye TGPs they ask for a thumbnail of a particular size... 88x88 or some other size.

What is a good program for creating these thumbs?

Also on the submit form they have a browse button which shows the files which are on the hard drive.
When you hit submit I assume it sends the thumbnail which you have selected.

Is it sending the file through ftp or something else?

Thanks for any replies.

Good Morning :)

I Just enjoyed a another terrific DFN with coffee. Great articles! Thanks Magus and Robbo :))

If it weren't for the VNWR community I think I would have lost my mind already. While hubby is very supportive, he just doesn't understand what it means to be an adult webmaster. Although it doesn't make me feel better knowing that most everyone here at VNWR has been or is going thru the same things-We all understand and can sympathize and it's that support system that keeps me going. Thank you all:))

Natasha congrats on the bingo win, hope all goes well with the computers and thanks.

ChristyB-Thank you. You have been on my mind the past few days (since you mentioned that you would be looking for a new place.) If you haven't yet found a place - I have a feng shui enhancement for you. :)

Take care everybody :))

Hi VNWR :)

That was some bingo game this week... I was all set to play on Tuesday but my ISP went down just before the game started :(
I waited for 30 minutes then gave up & went to bed... sorry!

Another great DFN - as usual:
Magus - very inspiring & interesting, thanks.
Robbo - very zen :) & some great insights there.
Steve - lol - get your mind off the job & back on the porn! Good review & a nice site from the Don :)
Voltar - Get back to bed.

Bailey - You get a special "Thank You"... Your article brought a sympathetic tear to my eye followed by tears of laughter :) - it was a great read & you didn't mention your DFN involvement in your list of achievements!

It's a truly great resource folks... thanks again :)

Can anybody reccomend a reasonable free, or trial ftp proggie. I don't realy wanna buy one as I have registered copies of two different versions, but both on a machine I won't be able to access for a fortnight, so just looking for something to allow me to keep working in the meantime.

natasha,

Is that windows error code? If so:
1206 0x04B6 The network connection profile is corrupt.

If you having trouble reading the disks and know there are clean, the controllers are really messing up.

Go to the computer store and get a controller card. Dont forget to turn the onboard controllers off in the bios.

Let the machine boot. It should see the new card without any problems. But glance through any instructions that come with it anyway, befor your install.

Still no guaruntee that it will though.

Voltar

The biggest ISP in Australia is currently having email problems too and it's been going on for weeks.

They say that in the last 3 weeks the amount of spam and virus emails going through their servers has increased by 25%.

Some legitimate email is arriving up to a week after it was sent.

Yanno Barron...I had the same thought about QB when I first read about it. Then, talked to a CPA friend who was using it and just raved about it. This was back in the Windows Version 3.0 days...lol.

At about the same time, I looked at PT and it was so expensive by comparison. And they wanted to buy every damn module seperately! Sooo, I took a chance on QB and have never looked back...very pleased with it :)

Probably the simplest way Marie...and lots of folks do that :) Coming from a bean counter background, it's not an option for me...I'd go nuts with someone else playing with my books...lol.

MrYum, I bought PeachTree because it will do the general ledger. Quickbooks Pro would to. But, like you said, Quickbooks was so much cheaper a red flag went up. You get want you pay for went through my mind. Thats the only reason I got. But, it does have a feature that lets me cost projects out. Thats pretty cool.

I make it sound like I need something like that to keep track of my millions, but I really dont make any more money that any one else. I should probably hire a bookkeeper for no more money than i have lol

Yea Barron...certainly sounds like they've got you by the 'sensitive' parts! Re-entering almost an entire years data is not an acceptable option =/

Though I would think that most of the competitors probably offer some sort of conversion...with the prices being so close, probably better off staying with what you know. Really does suck when software companies do that shit to ya though :(

MrYum, what are you using?

Natasha,

I think its time for a motherboard. Im think that all you will have to do is plug the 40gig into it and it will take off and run with no problems, I think. Of course, I still can see things happening. But this sounds normal if the controllers are bad.

Seems to be a trend in accounting software Barron. Mine is doing the same thing, but they're 'sunsetting' versions prior to year 2000 =/

Oh, and the prices are very similar between the 2 now also...bummer :(

I dunno MrYum, I caught between a rock and hard place on this one. If I change programs its still another investment. If I stop doing my own books and hire it out, its more expensive in the long run.

And then to, we are filing a new corp tomorrow. I have four business's running on the current software. The tax tables actually run out on 12-1. Which sucks because I cant make it till year end. Which means that if I buy new software, I'll have to re-enter all of 2003!!

I may have to buy the damn upgrade just so I can make it through december.

Marie,

I dont think I every had to reboot XP. I did of course, but it was my chooseing. Not because something went wrong.

Natasha,

I'm not sure about the trojan. I still think its the motherboard. Since the hard drive appears to be sound, I'd get the back up done right away in case I am wrong and it really is the hard drive.

Even if you transfer the trojan into the backup, you can scan for it later. I think the priority is getting the data backed up.

Since the hard drive does appear to be solid, do you have another motherboard that you can test with?

Barron,

I have XP Pro and I can go for days without having to reboot... whereas Steve has Win98 and wow he has to reboot everyday and sometimes it plain sucks and shuts down all by itself :)

Oooo...Marie ate me! Don't I wish! LOL!

Ouch! That's a pretty crappy thing to do Barron =/ Are you really happy with PT? I use a different program...and if things haven't changed too much...it's quite a bit cheaper than PT :)

Speaking of tax write-offs. I just got a notice in the mail that my Peachtree software is going to be out of date. They are trying to force me to upgrade to the new version by not making there payroll tax updates compatable with any version older than the newest version. That really sucks. Its going to cost more to upgrade that it cost to buy the damn software to begin with!!

Darn! Thought you might be getting close from your question Natasha...

Not sure if the winning number has to be the starburst, but that does kinda sound familiar...

Still need a couple numbers a couple ways...but sounds like Natasha is dialing one in :) You go girl! You're due for some good stuff! As is Dave...the hero...Goooo Dave! hehe
