Every year it`s the same and once again I find myself marveling at how close we are to the end of the current year and the beginning of a new one, asking myself where did it all go and go so quickly! It`s also an indication that these next few weeks will be zipping by like foreplay for sandflies! The message here is make the most of this time and be as prepared as possible for what`s to come.

Also in the next few weeks we will be facing a few holidays and things that are sure to interupt and take us away from our work more than normal. Family gatherings an parties to attend, shopping to be done. Or you may even be going to Vegas for Internext in a scant few weeks as will many other webmasters and industry people which also can slow things down. Places to go preparations to make! But there is much preparation that can be done on the webmaster front to help things move alot smoother.

You have probably heard suggestions to make a few extra galleries ahead of time for submitting on days when your work time is scarce. Make use of your maximization of sites and galleries by fully utilizing your free site galleries as tgp galleries and converting those to tgp2. Have your list of search engine submissions yet to be done handy if you have one. A page or three can be submitted within a half hour to a good number of places. These little things will help keep your traffic flowing and everything else moving along properly.

With a new year upon us it is also time again to think about the past tax year. Though the official tax deadline is not until mid April no one needs or wants to be up against a deadline. Take a look over your books for the year and make sure everything is in order. Get all your reciepts bills and expenses laid out for easy reference if not done already. Any changes to income or holdings can easily complicate things so preparedness is desireable. Once those 1099 forms start to roll in you`ll be in good shape to have everything else ready to go to make tax time as easy as possible.

Also at hand is our busy season. The winter months when more people are indoors surfing the net and a percentage of them buying porn site memberships. This is a good time to put a bit more emphasis on recurring sponsors than normal in that you should have better chance of getting some of those buyers as recurring members. Building this up through the busy months should help you through the slower summer months. This increase is prime opportunity for those who could be building a bit more to grab a hold and take advantage of this time. And a great time to test out new ideas or sponsors with more surfers to see them.

It is truly time of opportunity! And hopefully you`ve been preparing for this time we are in now. Having your inner empire of sites, filters and other money makers built, reworked if necessary and ready for the influx of visitors you will be unleashing upon it. Tighten that sieve so those surfers either sign up for a membership or get off your sites. And if they do leave your site hopefully your trading them off for some fresh ones with some toplist links around the edges! ;)

It`s an exciting time to be sure with the prospect of expanding our empires and making them more profitable. Some holiday festivities which should be welcomed and enjoyed as best you can as there is NO escape! Have a drink sit back and take it all in while you can. Because if your webmaster head is screwed on right you`ll not be sitting around lounging much without your fingers typing! But if you are prepared enough you`ll be working in the moment and enjoying it instead of trying to catch up and loathing it!

Here is to December...as cold as it is in some places and as hectic as it can be! For it is also another of our opportunities to seek the better in our work in others and in ourselves! Now normally I`d say let the xmas music begin but I think we`d rather put some nice work tunes on and try to catch a few more surfers to pay off those credit card bills for us come January!
