The Christmas Npow part 2 was posted Monday night and the gift exchange pals are quite a mix. I enjoyed the good natured ribbing some folks got when the list was posted. It was a fun way to start the project. I got started on my gift right away. I’m using an idea I had written down quite awhile ago and just hadn’t gotten around to building on it. I really like it, I hope it does well and the idea works well with the sponsor too. I’m almost done with mine and I’m looking forward to Sunday when the gifts are exchanged. I remember how much fun it was last year.

This is a short work week for me, with Thanksgiving and the NPOW, so I make the best of it by preparing and reviewing my plans for next month and I’m thinking about my goals for next year. I always have a plan - I’m not always able to follow through on them - but I still make a plan and each month I get a little closer to completing everything on my to do list. As I settle into my first full year, I realize the importance of a plan and I’ve learned enough to streamline how I work, I’ve gotten past checking sponsor stats and mail every half hour, and I’m finding a better balance overall, but I still find myself trying to “catch up“. It’s only a year experience under my belt but I have a better (but not complete)understanding of what this business is about and I’m rethinking priorities and goals. With each change I’m sure I can get ahead or at least get caught up.

I’ve decided to complete 2 previously posted NPOWS by the end of the year. I have found a great incentive to complete a project is when there is a due date. Although there wasn’t an official due date on the Megaville NPOW, four of us did the project and agreed to trade links so I really wanted to get it done quickly and the current exchange project has an official due date. I plan on a self imposed due date on the 2 npows, which is going to take some disipline on my part - I have a “get back to it later” problem, the problem is “get back to it later” can be days or weeks later!

Putting a due date on them just might work for me. I plan on participating in all community project NPOWS and when someone at VNWR is looking to make a NPOW a group project(ie Megaville), I’ll join in. Joining a community project helps me keep focused and gives me a sense of satisfaction. And besides they are so much fun to do.

There was a post this week from Old Tom -it bought to my attention that there was an aspect to this business I really haven’t been on top of - the legal part. I have applied all the basic warnings to my sites and I don’t do or promote anything illegal but that’s about all I know. Keeping current with legal issues should have been a part of the plan from the beginning, I really never even thought about it except to add warnings etc to my sites. I’m making it a point to read and or listen to a radio show regarding these issues as well as the shows that cover other aspects of this business. I haven’t been able to make it to a live show yet, but when I read the transcripts, there are times I wish I was there to ask a question. Part of my re organization is to get to a live radio show at least once a month. There have been many topics that have interested me or were important to the Adult business, and I’m going to take advantage of the shows from now on.

With the Holiday’s approaching things get really hectic. I think I’ve set some reasonable and attainable goals for next month. I’ll also continue working on my plans and goals for next year and finding little ways like joining community projects to help me along.
