Many times webmaster get so wrapped up in the basics and thier daily routines they forget to go back and do what they had wanted to do before they learned they needed to learn the basics of our business. They forget basicly that once they have the tools and skills they can use as webmasters, to go back and have fun with them.

This can make webmastering dull and as boring as looking at naked bodies can be. Which after you see a few 100,000 of them, you do see them differently, more professionally, more in the form of graphics and art and not the eroticism that they mean to the casual surfer. This normally means that you stuck in a build and submit routine only. That you need to stir up some of those old dreams, fantasies, and erotic websites you once though you were going to make.

Do some of these with your skills as a webmaster now. Don't stop doing the daily build and submits, it is the life blood of our industry and your empires. It's how you grow your profits. But, reward yourself for completing your daily routine. Give yourself a hour or two a day to explore doing those early orginal fun sites you dreamed of. To go out and make them, and make sure with your webmastering skills you make them so they are profitable as well. Find that javascript or java that you need to do that special thing or two on those sites, you may find you will use what you learn by going back to fun, in future projects as well.

By now I'm sure there are some of you reading this saying, but my first early sites were wanting to give away to much content, how can I do that knowing it's a bad business practice to give away to many samples like that. Well, I have an answer for you.

I've never been one that has said you can't do a site with a 100 pics on it if you wanted to, in fact if you look at the hubs and triples that I coined the phrases for and created, that our industry now uses, you actually give the surfer access to just that. The key is to make sure you have the balance of advertising for the amount of pics you want to show. I have no problem what so ever using a 100 pics on a free site, if I get to use 20 or 30 FPAs(in total) to run the surfers thru when they are heading to the galleries and on thier way back from the galleries. In fact this is how I found you could convert PK traffic many years ago.

Just keep your site balance flowing thru your dream sites. Make them look clean, crisp, easily navagated, and sales oriented. But go out and knock peoples socks off with them. Orginal kick ass sites that not only get traffic, but also make you money are long term money makers as well. So reward yourself, and enjoy making some of your dream sites come to life. You will find this brings a bit of spark back into your building, which you may be able to use after this long summer we just came out of.
