Webmaster's Corner
Interview with Cindy
DFN: This week's interview is with Cindy.
Lets get the real basic stuff first...
Cindy My name is Cindy, I'm 25 and I live in the Arizona, USA.
DFN: How or why did you pick your nick?
Cindy It wasn't to difficult I just went with my name LOL ;)
DFN: How often do you try new building ideas, or using new sponsors?
Cindy I work more with webmasters on the support side, I don't have a lot of time to put into my own. But I always investigate new ideas. I tell webmasters though, you should always try a new project/idea once a month, even if it's an elaborate idea and don't think is going to work - try it you never know what will come out of it :) With large projects or ideas that you like incorporate them into your empire, don't stop what is making you money, keep doing what you know, that is your bread and butter :)
DFN: And how often do you build new sites?
CindyI review wewbmaster sites everyday, so I get new sites all the time. Along with the site reviews I do everyday, I do a lot of research on traffic and advertising and I learn from others as well.
DFN: How many hours a week are you able to put into your business?
Cindy As many hours as I possibly can. I do this full time, so I am usually sitting in front of my computer, unless I am at school or taking a brain break LOL
DFN: Do you do everything by hand? or do you use some scripts to automate your work?
Cindy I do some things by hand, with html I use an html editor
DFN: Do you have any tips for us on how you stay focused and organized working for yourself?
Cindy Tips on making keep yourself organized - don't we all the learn the hard way on this? This was a mistake I made a long time ago, now sometimes I am too organized LOL
I would have to say, the biggest thing, keeping everything separate from each other. Have a folder dedicated to working projects, back burner projects. And the biggest one is your sites - keeping everything in order just like you have on your server, this way you know where everything is on your hard drive and on your server. A log of where everything is, like for example your hub, you should have a layout of where everything is. I know it is a pain to do, but it pays off in the end.
One other big one is e-mail organization, have dedicated folders to certain projects in your e-mail client then you have everything you have talked about in that folder and you don't have to search for it.
DFN: Can you touch on how and why you got involved into this industry, and how long you have been doing it?
Cindy Why I got involved with this business - I needed a job when I was going to school and I saw an ad in the newspaper for supervisors, this was for a content company, they provided live feeds.
How I got involved with the business.... The company I was working for was a new company and we didn't do a lot of business so I started surfing around and found an adult board and started reading everything I could about marketing and traffic and I took what I learned from online and started marketing for the company.
I have been in this business for over five years, and with Maxcash for two years.
