Interview with Mr. Boo

DFN: This week's interview is with Mr. Boo.

Lets get the real basic stuff first...
Mr. Boo My name is Mr. Boo or the Pink Twink, I'm 20 and I live in the London, England.

DFN: How or why did you pick your nick?
Mr. Boo When I first appeared I had the name TheYoungOne due to my young age, webmasters however informed me it would be a good idea to change it for various different reasons. I had no idea what to call myself after that. I wish I did have a nice weird way in which I came across Mr. Boo but unfortunately I don't. I asked a couple people for a few nicknames and I chose the one that I liked best LOL. As for the Pink Twink, I could write about how I got that name all day. Let's just say that Voltar made a site based on me :)

DFN: How often do you try new building ideas, or using new sponsors?
Mr. Boo I try to build something new and different everyday if I have the time, I am continually working on my TGP. Which is my true love. I do study traffic flow quite a bit even though I have been told not too as it is very time consuming.

I use different sponsors all the time. I would like to say that I try everything. That way I know if I'm missing out on something which is outstanding! Recurring, per sign, free signups, email signups all have their place in making sites and pages. Find a combination of all of them helps to build a stronger base in revenue. If one thing goes bust you are not in shit as you have other ways of making money backing you up :)

DFN: And how often do you build new sites?
Mr. BooAs far as freesites go, I get 1 done every 4-5 days LOL, I am usually playing with some sort of script or other to try and speed things up and get as much done as possible.

DFN: How many hours a week are you able to put into your business?
Mr. Boo It depends, I am still working part time outside this bizz for some extra cash which I put into my sites. I would say though that I still manage to do at least 50 hours a week.

DFN: Do you do everything by hand? or do you use some scripts to automate your work?
Mr. Boo My motto is that if there is a quicker way of doing something why do it the slow way?

I have many CGI, PHP scripts along with many useful little programs to help with coding and designing.

DFN: Do you have any tips for us on how you stay focused and organized working for yourself?
Mr. Boo To stay focused I try to relax when I'm working. Before in front of the computer I go for a bike ride or sit in the garden...I take a day out every 3-4 days to spend with friends and family etc. This helps me to keep my mind fresh and ready for work.

DFN: Can you touch on how and why you got involved into this industry, and how long you have been doing it?
Mr. Boo Every since I was a young nipper of a lad I was interested in porn. I guess that is the same for any young lad LOL. For me though there was something else. I had seen alot of TV programs about the business which really got me interested at first. The people in the industry seemed intelligent and kind people. They don't have prejudices about people like in other industries. The best part about the bizz is that it's fun. I still can't believe I wake up in the morning to find I have made money whilst sleeping :)

DFN: Can you give a brief background on your history in this business, and where do you see yourself in one year and several years from now?
Mr. Boo My history is pretty much covered on the VNWR board. I started with my geocities free gallery and now I own/part own over 17 domains. Hopefully one day I'll be ringing Voltar's door holding a bottle of ice cold beer....saying the words "thankyou, because of you I have made it"

DFN: What area in terms of site building do you specialize in, if any?
Mr. Boo Well I guess that would have to be TGP's. I have put many together for other webmasters aswell as myself and they all seem to be doing great. Because I have studies traffic flow so much I find setting them up to a decent traffic level very easy.

I have a way with the BBW and shemale market aswell but I haven't put my finger on what actually makes me able to do this... maybe I was a big old tranny in a past life *grin*

DFN: What do you consider to be your strengths in this business?
Mr. Boo Getting on with people...I am always up for a laugh and meeting new people.

My main strength I think is TGP building/modification. If I spend an hour working on a TGP's design/traffic flow I can greatly increase the sites traffic and money making potential.

DFN: What do you consider your 3 best niches?
Mr. Boo BBW - Sales and signup ratios still going up each month! Shemale - Quite new to me but seems to convert VERY GOOD! Teen - Something which is easy on my eyes. I think that has something to do with me being able to sell it.

DFN: What is the best advice you were given when you were first getting started in this industry and what advice could you give a newbie just starting out these days?
Mr. Boo Get paid hosting and buy some decent quality content I'mages :)

DFN: What do you think the worst thing going on with future of our industry right now? ...and what is the best?
Mr. Boo Worst... The mainstream media still classes the business as seedy and corrupt! One day I hope this changes. I know that the majority of the people in suits take a different view when they are away from the cameras at home looking at one of my sites with their pants around their ankles :)

Best... Less nakedness for those cheapos who cant get out their creditcard. TGP2 may not be doing great for me personally but I think it is the way to go and is definitely the right kind of idea. Shame how it was implemented though. Maybe in time it will be standardized.
