The Up Curve

By

As a Webmaster you find it part of your daily life to keep up with current events and things that effect the industry as a whole. Odds are that you have taken the time to see what has made or is making you the best money right now. This often includes different sponsors, types of web pages, traffic sources, and even your sales techniques.

But have you pushed all of this up to the next level? Where you automatically take your base of consistent moneymakers and build on a fringe network of so-so moneymakers, of which you rotate in and out on a regular basis to see how they are performing for you now.

This is something that is often over looked by Webmasters. But is of high importance for them to do. The Webmaster is always on an upward curve of learning and increasing his profits with his sales techniques. Look back on any of your first few sites or galleries and you will see that you have progressed a ton from there until now.

"She got her looks from her father. He's a plastic surgeon."
Groucho Marx

The point I'm making today is that you should go back to all the sponsors, niches, and traffic sources you tried before and retry them again with your advancing skills. The results may be overly surprising to you! You may very well likely find some new untapped sources of income to build even more on.

Should you do this every day. No way, but you should try to do it at least once a year or anytime you master some new sales technique that has good results for you.

Never get caught in the old trap that if you tried a sponsor or a niche a year ago and found it lacking, that they would be the same now as then. You have changed as well as your skill as a Webmaster. Grab on to it and try it again. The profits you may create will be ones you pull from thin air.

Enjoy
