CJPro is one of the oldest traffic trading scripts on the net. It allows you to trade unique hits with other sites. This means you will never send the same person to the site they came from or a site they have already visited. The script is well written and can handle thousands of hits an hour. One problem I have had with this script is that the database often gets deleted. I have heard other webmasters having the same problems. Another bad thing about this script is that it requires a lot of time to make good productive trades. You can more or less leave CJultra and UCJ alone and it will do everything. this script will require you to have to set optimal settings for each trade for it to be a success which can be very time consuming.

Intellilink comes in two versions, free and a full version. I used this script when my TGP only had 1000 unique visitors a day and I wasn't too impressed. It used quite a bit of the server resources and it is set out quite messily. It does have some good features however. You can mail all your trading partners like in a mailing list. It has a toplist feature, however it isn't as configurable as the UCJ toplist. It has the option of perm links, link skimming and group links which is outstanding for a script of its price.

The only problem I see with the script is it's unreliability and it wouldn't be able to handle more then 10,000 unique hits a day efficiently. The script is easy to install as long as you have a basic FTP knowledge, setting CHMOD settings and editing a variables page. The script is written in Perl and should work well on any server with CGI capabilities. My impression of this script is that they have tried to do too much with it. You have the ability for perm, group links, plus a toplist, surfers can be sent to different sites. The options are good but only suitable for a small site. We are going to aim to have a big site so this will not do!

Overall I would say that the best two scripts are UCJ and CJUltra. If you have money to spend then UCJ is the ultimate and is worth every cent. CJultra can however handle thousands upon thousands of hits a day and has some awesome features. There is work going on v2 of CJUltra which will add even more great features!
