Road Trip

OT Scripts

So. How do I tell you about Internext, without admitting that I had fun? Is it a worthwhile trip? Well, sure... but we've already covered that. I could use myself as an example, and tell you all the business I accomplished there... but who cares?

However, I did think Serge's first question to me was kinda cool. Serge and Mike have Oprano.com. Serge asked, "How do you get your board to load so fast?" I told him, too! Mike described a couple of attacks they've had at Oprano, and was already aware that those attacks had been prevented here at vnwr.com, from Day One.

It's very nice to be complimented by the guys at Oprano. Serge without a board is like a pencil without lead... Pointless! (So says Nickatilynx.) Hearing good stuff about VNWR, from guys who know, is fun.

To stop by Voltar's house on the way home, and fill him in on lots of details, was fun. To carefully not tell him certain things, was also fun. Ya just had to be there. Heheheh

I found people who actually knew who Old Tom was. That was fun! I met others for the first time, finally putting a face to a name. Brad Estes (Adult Check) sent me to Cormac, his AC Pay representative. Cormac gave me several excellent leads and ideas for expanding OT Scripts. I got to thinking of a whole range of possibilities... and that was fun!

I found out some technical information from AdultCheck, FreeNetPass (AccessForLife),
*Access for Life

and ManSites (SexKey).
**Craig Tant, Mansites.Com

I needed the info for The AVS Advantagizer, and now I have it. When there's a chance to talk with someone in person, things become soooo much simpler - and fun!

I made dozens of technical and marketing contacts, which I'll be using the rest of this year. I took pictures, to help me track who is who. Followup will be so much easier now... sometimes even fun!

I stopped by the ProHosters booth, and explained that I wished to compliment them. You see, for OT Scripts, I have done a fair number of script installations on different companies' servers. I explained that when a customer sends me their ftp/login info, and I recognize it as a ProHosters server, I know the installation will be easy. Everything is organized, everything is where it's expected, everything works as expected. Telling someone they've done a good job, and giving specific details, is fun! Yes, I kept the ProHosters card, and yes they'll be hearing from OT Scripts. Hee hee!

Not everything shows up on the camera. If you check the next picture carefully enough, you can probably figure out what did NOT happen.

Jojasa and I met with Sharky, who is doing some design work for OT Scripts. We met at 11pm, talking past 1am. He does some of the best paysite tour design on the planet, and we are very excited about what he's doing for OT Scripts. To sit and talk about what he's done, and can do for us, was fun!

Over 4000 miles of Road Trip meant we saw a lot - and that was fun. We drove across Tampa Bay. I heard they used to charge only two dollars a head at the stadium there - a buck an ear.

I spotted an alligator on Sanibel Island. The picture looks like a log laying in the water - but the bump on the log has a bad case of redeye. Must be a gator!
**a gator there somewhere

We took U.S. 41 across the Everglades in the dark, rather than Alligator Alley. We stopped at a likely place and I spotted another alligator. I got no usable pictures, but the mosquito bites lasted the rest of the week.

Are there really panthers in Florida? I don't know, but we drove along a five-mile stretch of road marked "Panther Crossing". I have seen signs for turtles, armadillos, and wild burros, but never panthers.
**panthers?

We saw the guns of Saint Augustine

and the Fountain of Youth.

We saw the haunted houses of Savannah,

and the Technology Corridor of Virginia (an uninhabited wilderness).

We have a couple of pictures of the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse in Saint Augustine.

Something is looking out the windows, and we do NOT recall seeing that something in the window as we took the picture. Four hundred years' detention doesn't sound too fun.

Have fun on a business trip? Sure... why not?
