When you start webmastering there are your most common basic things that people need and ask about. They are hosting, code questions, sponsors, computers, software, scripts, and how to do it all. Those things we answer every day at VNWR. This little article is not about those things. This article is about other things that quite commonly are overlooked, but can and do make life and business much better as a webmaster. Here is a list of some of the lost important other things you need.

*A comfortable chair - you will be spending many hours in this, so get one that is very comfortable.

*A calendar/daily planner - you will want to keep track of submits and what you build and when. You also will like to know when paydays are coming around and can keep track of them.

*An accountant - yes you are going into business, you should get one of these.

*A filing cabinet - your paperwork will add up very quickly and you will need to keep them filed where you can find them when you need them.

*Headphones - there will be times you will want to concentrate and shut the rest the world out.

*Drink holders - you will spend enough time at your computer you will need something to keep your drinks in away from the working area, or accidents can and will happen.

*A Dictionary - yes you will need one of these, your computers dictionary/spell checks are not easily accessable during graphic work and some other computer heavy stuff you may end up doing.

*A roladex - You can keep all your user names and passwords on file where you can find them in a heartbeat this way, as well as an offline directory of people in the industry you may communicate with.

*A extra keyboard - this is now a days a cheap throw away item, better to have a spare then your business go down until you can get one.

*A extra mouse - this is now a days a cheap throw away item, better to have a spare then your business go down until you can get one.

*A clock - it is nothing to get caught up ni a project for hours on end and time slip awya from you. This will help keep you in reality for events and daily routines.

If you get all these things as well as the normal start up tools, you will find you are a step ahead in the webmastering business and ready to crank out sites and build your online empire.
