Extreme Internext

"Extreme" these days means "fun" or "fun to watch." It is that... if you enjoy fun, Internext might as well be designed for you. Yes, it can get extreme.
"New Orleans sucks." I've been hearing that ever since IA2000. We arrived in one of the heaviest rainstorms I've experienced; and the humidity remained pretty high the whole time. The locals told us we had Bourbon Street more crowded than during Mardi Gras. I couldn't quite tell if we were walking through a near-riot in progress or just nightly entertainment. I'm not sure there's much difference!
But... that's where Voltar and Jojasa and I met Pastaboy for the first time. Others too, of course, but Pastaboy bought me dinner! Is meeting people worth the trip? It's why we made the trip! This was Pastaboy's first and only time to see a cane used and purchased. I'm sure that qualifies as extreme... just ask Pastaboy...
What about Internext in Las Vegas in January? Well... a non-gambler going to Las Vegas is extreme. (I got over it.) The weather was mild, so we drove into the mountains to Zion National Park, and wondered why we'd only brought sweaters. There was snow on the ground!
What does this travel have to do with Internext? Well... for us... it's fun. What does fun have to do with Internext? Everything! Yes we work hard while we're there. We plan ahead. And we plan to have fun too! Your idea of fun is surely different from mine... so make your own plans!
What about Internext in Las Vegas in July? A hundred and fifteen is HOT! So, we drove over to Death Valley for the day, where it was a hundred and twenty three in the shade, in the cool of the evening. Extreme Internext for sure! We went back in the winter so we could see Death Valley without our eyes watering.
What about Internext in southern Florida in August? It was hot and muggy enough to keep us reminded of New Orleans. So, we drove five hours further south to see if we could find it hotter and muggier. We did! Key West is as extreme south as it gets, in the Continental USA.
