People come to Internext for different reasons. Some come to party. Some come to act like morons. Some come to impress you with... I'm not really sure what! Some come for the babes, and vice versa. Some come without a clue - and leave the same way.

Fred Lane made an interesting comment Thursday afternoon. He started by saying, "Now that Internext is winding down..." - and he was exactly right, even though he said this Thursday afternoon, the day before Internext started!

Why go to Internext? If you don't know before you get there, you probably won't accomplish as much. Jojasa and I invited the VNWR people over for a barbeque - and had a great chance to chat and get to know people better. Indeed we were winding down - before Internext officially even started! By this point, plans and preparations were already in place.

Alan, the programmer for Porn Megabucks, takes over the grilling duties, much to everyone's relief, especially mine!

What Fred was saying is this... Lay out what you plan to accomplish at Internext, before you get there! Internext itself is a great place to get together with the best in the business. Learn from the seminars and roundtables. Get on the show floor and meet people. Go party and meet more people.

I put this gratuitous image in here to point out that AVN itself uses Macs, and to point to the stacks of magazines next to the Mac with my first print article...

Internext means learning about the latest products and services, hottest trends, most wishful thinking. (And the babes. Can't forget the babes! Watch the webmasters react, and you'll know how to build your next site.)

Far more importantly, though, Internext means networking. People. Ask questions, get yourself known, grow your business.

Oh... yeah... we have more Internext pictures for you, and perhaps some useful insights, but we'll save those for next time! We're getting this Internext thing figured out!
