The New Kid On The Block

I haven't read more than one article on the Aesop Search Engine. I haven't even seen it mentioned but the article I did read gave me some insight. So new, it seems they change their algorithm like I change my underwear. Could be their way of weeding out the spammers.

The Aesop Search Engine is the brainstorm of Aesop Marketing Corporation, not a fly by night company not a bunch of coders, a marketing company with a Google approach for a search page, very simplistic! Cattle are Stupid. As I sit here and writing this, I can't find Pasta, "The Great Linguini" is listed at #2. Makes you wonder doesn't it.

The very cool part about this engine is that you get listed in 48 to 72 hrs. Kind of like a LL submission. Kind of why I just added another project once I found out about Aesop. No it's not a paid inclusion, but they do harvest email addies, check out the submit form submit url. Interesting concept.

Aesop claims that's its new proprietary spidering technology allowing the cows to "Search Smarter and Faster" but also allowing us the webmasters to "target" our traffic.

That's right you are seeing it correctly No quotations around aesop and no quotations around the category links. There are six categories which your sites gets listed once your site gets spidered. information, interactive, links, multimedia, personal, and sales. I wonder if the other engines will recognize the Aesop Metatag? Who cares, as long as Aesops spiders do, right? It could be their little fix to get you higher rankings. I don't have all the answers I am just a DFN sponge like the assistant editor. The only way to become big is to remain open minded, listen, trial and error. Aesop isn't a panecia for getting signups. Its an idea that could gain momentum and start sending hits.
