Welcome to
The DFN Weekly
Welcome everyone to the first issue of VNWR's "The DFN Weekly". We are glad to be here and able to bring you this online publication on a weekly basis. Make sure you bookmark the page prior to this one, as this one will be archived after this week. Every week we will bring you news from the VNWR board, around the net, and from around the world. Also articles on search engines and how to help with listings in the graphic help, the newbie project of the week, a spotlighted weekly tutorial written by newbies for newbies from the VNWR resources, a fun page with games and such, as well as submitted articles and insights from people you know fresh from the boards and adult online webmaster community.
So what does the DFN stand for? Well now that's a story in its own right, but here is the short version. DFN = Dumb Fucking Newbie, and with the newbies of today being more advanced and net savvy than the ones of prior years, they tend not to be quite so ignorant and, in fact, the ones from VNWR I'm quite proud to say, have shown they are a step ahead and know how to think out of the box. With that said, it has been fairly common place for older veteran webmasters who really haven't kept up with the net and its changes to roll through and try to treat and or abuse/trick/scam newbies like was sadly all too common in the past. The answer of "yeah I'm just a DFN and wouldn't know better" or something along those lines became a standard and even shortened down to "Yeah I'm just a DFN".
