Post Show Agenda

It's important to have a plan when you go to internet webmaster shows. We all know this, and most of us plan out the shows and what to do while there. But what is most commonly forgotten is the after show routine that we also need to do, to make the most out of the show it's self. In this article i'll be touching on some of those to help those of you who attended this last show.
Start by sorting every thing you got at the show. This includes promo items, photos, business cards, flyers, handouts, etc. Make a special pile for anything you have jotted some notes down on. These will be the ones you start with first.
Take that pile with your notes and so on written on them and toss out any duplicates. Take a pad of note paper and start a list. Go thru your pile and write down the contact name(s), addresses, and emails of the people and companies there. Add in a more detialed note than what you have on jotted down. The items are fresh enough in your mind that they should jog memories still. If you wait a week or two, you will have lost much of those memories, so get them down on paper so you can reference them. After all if they were important enough for you to make a note of at the time, they still will be important to your business. You made the first personal contact with the other parties at the show. Now is the time you follow up on those.
From this list, you email each person there. Remind them who you are and briefly what you spoke with them about. If they were/are to send you additional info, remind them politly. This lets them know you still are interested, gives you a on going personal contact with that company, and to be very truthful, that person talked to thousands of people and your one request could easily fall thru the cracks in the mass amount of things going on.
