The Art of Archiving Magic TGP2 Style

While posting to the VNWR board on the TGP2 topic concerning traffic, I decided to approach it via long term thinking and the magic of archiving and the long term traffic that it brings. While reading this, do take this example and use it on all types of traffic and traffic sources you use. It is a valid point for all of them.
Get listed on a new link list/tgp2 as they build. I often help new tgp and tgp2's and link lists out with lists of galleries and sites they can pull from long term and list, even if its one hit every other day to begin with. I don't mind being in the archives of hundreds of sites with hundreds (and more) of galleries/sites and thus building small but steady long-term traffic.... and it's another link to be spidered for the SE's.
We do get those new link type sites during LTS (Link Trade Sunday) at VNWR. Being a newbie board we have a large number of up and comers who are always expanding their futures.
Also I can look at it this way, from purely a numbers point of view, about TGP2 traffic. Which is more sales oriented than most reg. TGP traffic.
What you get from a tgp2 that doesn't archive but you get a two day listing, that sends say 50 hits the first day and lets say 20 hits the second day, then it drops off the list. That's 70 hits total.
But if a new one is there and archives me, many of which being new they feed it a lot of SE traffic so it's often better quality. Let's still say the new tgp2 sends 3-4 hits a day on average, but I'm archived, so it's a long-term 3-4 hits a day. And I always think long term.
