We've heard the term many times "Upsell your AVS" sites, upsell yourself. The Newbie Mini AVS matrix NPOW is a good project for upselling yourself. In simple terms doorway pages are highly optimized web pages, another entry point into your site/domain.

Visualize a bicycle wheel, the hub of the wheel being my tgp http://www.pastaspissers.com. All the spokes are links from individual pages, doorway pages that lead to http://www.pastaspissers.com. I have around 30 plus FPA's each targeting a specific niche. If I make some doorways for the 30 FPA's I now have another highly optimized wheel leading into Pastas Pissers.

Doorway pages are constructed to focus on a specific keyword or keyword phrase. Page title, keyword density, keyword relevancy, keyword weight and percentages all play an important role how your site ranks in the search engines.

Does it really matter what your pages look like in the search engines? What matters is someone finding your link in the SE and clicking to your page which really is an FPA in the most basic sense. It's a really fucking "ugly" page geared to getting the surfer clicking your link or enticing them to click your link.

YA KNOW like an html pic page/doorway page! The ugly doorway page just became a hot looking click for the surfer.

How You Doin? Blast Some Doorways

The Doorway Page

To build doorway pages you need a lot of keywords. Have you ever considered your server stats to begin with? Start with these, then target your hubs as another source. Download the Doorway Blaster, create a doorway template, create a keyword file and build some pages. Doorway Blaster is just one tool to use. There are various scripts available to achieve the same end result, which is a software built page be it server side or clientside.

The template should include repetition of your keywords in the title, keywords and meta description. Utilize the heading tag at the top of the page. Have a small paragraph on the page and use the keyword phrase, and maybe a keyword as a link. Maybe add a fast loading graphic and fill the alt tag with a keyword or keyword phrase. There you have it a basic doorway page.

Think about this for a moment. There is a call for more "webmaster friendly rules", in particular one rule I like is pics on html. Worst case is you build a site with 20 pics. Thats 25 pages, an index, FPA, main, gal, gal plus the 20 pics on html. Couldn't you turn your pic pages into doorway pages for your sites as your building them? All your doing is upselling yourself are you not?
