TGPing for
Self Generation of Traffic

Newbie Project Of the Week

Sounds hard doesn't it? But it really isn't if you follow this project.

The goal is to get your own traffic source with bookmarkers built up. This insulates you against the whims and fancies of traffic sources, as well as over stringent rules and the ebbs and flows of the net. Building your own personal private source of traffic, is also profitable and enlightening.

In this project we are building something simple that surfers will bookmark and come back to. Do this correctly and over time you can build up to thousands and even tens of thousands of daily hits from surfers. The key is to keep working it. Keep the flow incoming and the site updated.

So what type of site is it you ask? You are going to build your own private TGP, to list your own galleries on, both from your tgping and sites. No, you do not need a TGP script for this project. Some may choose to use one, but you can build it by hand pretty easily.

First thing to do is to look around at other tgps. Look at how they are laid out. Look at where ads, webmaster links, and where the galleries are listed. Do NOT copy anyone else's TGP layout. You are there looking at how its done and the traffic flow patterns. Make your private personal TGP unique to your self.

Next gather up a complete list of all the TGP no recip galleries you have on the net and what niche they are. Also gather the URLs of all the galleries on the sites you have, and their niche. Create a list if these with each gallery linked to its niche name, a single long column is fine. You can group them together by niche or leave them mixed up. If you have less than 20 galleries in every niche you are going to list then leave them mixed up.

Build the TGP page itself. Note: this will be a general TGP and NOT a niche based TGP.

Here is a general rundown of how it should look:

  • Top of the page place a small sponsor text link table, with 6 to 10 short sponsor links in it.
  • Now tell them to bookmark you.
  • Now your TGP's name in text or a graphic under 12k.
  • Webmaster/submit link.
  • One banner (rotating, java script rotator is good for this) with text and maybe a few small light buttons so sponsors.
  • Now tell them to bookmark you again.
  • Now the galleries in two sections. The top section says "Today's Galleries". The bottom section says "Yesterdays Galleries". No dates needed when you use this method.
  • Another sponsor table of links at the bottom of the page.

  • See? that was easy enough!

Drop in new galleries when you build and shuffle them around a bit every few days. Or get a java rotator script (or cgi) and rotate them each time the page is loaded. It always looks new then, even to book markers. Make all the galleries open in a new window.

    The Webmaster/Submit Link.
Create a page for this that has various webmaster programs on it, where someone would submit you place text saying you are not taking submissions at this time. This way you have a possibility of making money off of all traffic there.

Place a few blind links to sponsors in your gallery listings but not more then 2 or 3. The point of this page is build bookmarkers and your own traffic source to tap into for the long business future ahead of you.

    How to traffic it
TGP of course! Make a couple recips and add them to all the TGP pages you make. Every page that has a link on it to another tgp has yours setting right there too. Get all the stuff in the search engines you can that link back to it. Over time this will help you get some decent listings and search engine traffic flowing into it as well.

You can also link to it from other various things and sites you have, nleeding a bit of traffic into it constantly so you build bookmarkers.

Do NOT trade links or do traffic trades or trading scripts on these. That is a HUGE mistake if you do. You first must have traffic for those to work for you, and this is your own personal private traffic source. Guard it closely and dear to your hearts. It'll do more for you in the future than you can imagine.

That's it! Enjoy and profit long!
