Hi again everyone! Hope you are having fun with this project, and hoping you are not having any difficulties with it. This week, this will be the second part to our banner project.

First, you will need to go here to get a gif animator. Once you have this, you will have all that you will need to make an animated banner.

1.) First, lets add some glow effects to the border of your text. Open your psd file to your first project. As you notice, all the layers show up on the right hand side in the layer palette. Now select the border layer, which is located just below the text layer. Left click it. You have now highlighted that layer.

2.) Now right click that layer, and a menu will appear. Go to blending options and left click it. A box will appear that says layer styles. Go to Outer Glow, and select opacity to 100%.

Play with the advanced blending options and the color you wish to blend will appear. Use the drop down menu that appears. If you uninterested in adding glow options to your layers, then skip this section. Save file.

3.) Open Gif animator. Click file>New, and the wizard will appear. Select "use the size in the first image in the animation." Click next. Select the frame position. Top left corner should be fine, and click scale frames to fit. Click next. Now animation loop will appear. Click yes, play the animation infinitely. How long you would like each frame to be displayed in 1/100th of a second, try 50 first (play with this setting to make the animation smoother, remember it must be read.) Click next.

4.) Now in the animation wizard, "frame images" appears. This is where you select your banners images. Select the 2 images that you just created in the order that they will be displayed. Click next. And voila.

Note you have created a rotating banner. To see what it looks like, click the play button in the upper right toolbar. As this is your new animated banner, save it.

Now practice with this animation, and make more images to create a larger animation. Just remember: each image adds its own weight to the banner, and should not be taken lightly considering bandwidth.
