Conference Finals or Bust
Wow, wow, wow! Round 2 has been simply amazing hockey to watch. Two game sevens to decide who moves on to play for the chance to go for the cup. The Colorado and San Jose game will not be finished upon the publishing of this article, but I'm sure it will be every bit as entertaining as game 6 was.
Two of the four pairings have wrapped up and are awaiting the outcome of the two game sevens to determine whom their opponents will be.
In the West Detroit made quick work of St. Louis in 5 games. Detroit was simply to much for the St. Louis crew to handle. St. Louis was relying on one line to produce their goals, at this point in the playoffs a team needs to get score from multiple lines. Detroit countered the scoring line by putting their top scoring line out against them, which caused them to play defense rather then score goals. The "Old Men" of the NHL are resting while the San Jose/Colorado series battles down to game seven. Either opponent will prove to be much tougher for the Wings as both teams are playing well.
