What's The Plan Stan?

Ok, how many of you consider this to be a business? ALL of you I hope. For those that consider this play, I'll let you follow along as well. LOL. For those of you that consider this a business I will ask you to get out a piece of paper and a pen. Yes, I mean now. Get one. OK, now that you have a pen and paper I want you to jot down where you want to be as a business in 2 years. Ok, now do the same for a year from now. Ok, now let's say you want to be totally self sufficient in 2 years on your web income alone.

You are not alone. There are a LOT of people with these same goals. The difference is you are building a plan to attain these goals. Now take a look at what you need to live on income wise. Let's pull a number out of the air and say you need $4K a month to live the way you do now. This is AFTER taxes so you will need to add 1/3rd to that number to get the REAL total. This figure works out to be about $5,400. Alright, now you have a target number you need to make to be self sufficient

Now you need a plan to GET to this goal. You have chosen to be at this goal of netting $5,400 a month in 24 months. This means after all your hosting and other expenses you will have $5,400 or MORE left over each and every month. OK, now the question is HOW are you going to do this. This is where personal choice comes into play. You have to choose the way you will GET to this dollar figure in the time you have allotted yourself. You have 24 months to achieve this goal. It is safe to say that the first few months will be loss leaders for you. Meaning you will lose some money. I will say that but month number 6 you should be making a profit. It may be large or it may be small, but you will be making a profit. So now you have 18 months left to get to your goal of $5,400 I will leave the rest of the planning up to you. BUT I will say that by defining your LONG term goals you have started defining your short term ones as well.

I hope this has given you some help with building this as a business. A wise man once told me to "plan your work, then work your plan" without that plan we cannot work to our potential
