Who wants it more?

That seems to be the question/theme of the first round of playoffs this year. Pick a series and you can honestly say it could be won be either team, it's that close. With the exception of the St. Louis and Chicago series which could swing if Chicago could actually score a goal, most series are neck and neck.

None of the first round series will be sweeps as each team has won at least a single game. I think most of the series will wind up going at least 6 games and maybe two of them going the distance to game 7. The only series I see ending in 5 games is the St. Louis and Chicago series, unless Chicago can score a goal. If they can do that I see it going 6 games with the edge to St. Louis.

Now the only thing missing from the first round so far is one of those late night west coast games that goes into two or three overtime periods before someone wins. Those games usually happen the day before a 7 a.m. meeting, and with a couple hours of sleep you wind up looking like someone who went bar hopping the night before. That is the sign of the true Hockey "nut", anyone who stays up and watches every second of those games.

Now go put on your teams jersey, be proud and show your colors and support your team!
