I'm Not Shaving!
Yep, you read that right, I'm not shaving .. until my team comes home with the Cup or are eliminated from the playoffs. It's a tradition for me that has been going on for many years now, I grow a playoff goatee. So I hope to be scratching my face with this itchy hair for some time to come :^)
Now those of you who know hockey are looking at your calender and are wondering why I started now when the playoffs don't start until next Wednesday. Well, to make a long story short I'm going to St. Louis next week and my customer wouldn't appreciate when I stop shaving in the middle of the week, so I started early.
With that little whooha out of the way, let's get back to where the playoff race is. It's hard to believe that with only a week until the playoffs begin and 3 or less games remaining that I am still talking about a playoff race.
Three seems to be the magic number today, three games left in the season, and only three points separate 4th and 8th place in the race for the West's playoff spots. I'm not even going to attempt predicting the final rankings in the West.
I can tell you that there are at least three games being played this evening that will have an impact on the playoff race. It should make for some great hockey. So I'm going to take Wenchy's advice in this weeks DFN and take so time off and tune into ESPN for the next few hours. Take a break, rejuice, and come back hard tonight. Build, Submit, Repeat.
